Second Brain

Your knowledge,
with history and sources.

Preserve what matters and find it when you need it. Create independent personal or business Brains, choose what to import and connect only the archives relevant to your work.

Personal profiles and visual analysis belong to the 4.5 preview, tested in the development environment and not included in the 4.4 installers. Contact us to check availability for your installation.

Memory under your control

Multiple archives, no automatic merging

A personal Brain for your writing, a business Brain for procedures and others for projects. Access and sources stay separate: one archive’s contents do not automatically become available to another.

  • Explicit import of files and folders, including authorised T-Chat spaces.
  • Originals and versions retained with source references.
  • Connections to chats, projects, personalities and missions according to permissions.

Search and answers

Ask your sources, check the references

Search text and, if you enable a local embedding model, retrieve by meaning as well. Answers draw content from the selected archive and provide references for review.

  • Curated, editable memories with revision history.
  • Already configured local models; no cloud transmission of Brain sources in the current workflow.
  • No automatic ingestion of your entire mailbox or conversations.

4.5 preview

A personal profile you can evolve

Add your history, values, preferences, decision criteria, style and goals. Choose whether answers use them and keep revisions. Separate Brains can have separate profiles, preserving what you have already built.

  • Local analysis of photographs and PDF pages using a compatible vision model already installed.
  • Descriptions are reviewed before confirmation; you add personal memories and context.
  • AI proposals become searchable only after confirmation, without rewriting originals.

Backup and recovery

Protect the continuity of your archive

Export encrypted .tbrain copies and optionally configure scheduled backups and retention. Restoring creates a new Brain rather than overwriting the one you are working on.

  • Keep the passphrase safe and test recovery from your copies.
  • Custody can be assigned through an explicit process, never decided automatically by AI.
  • In the 4.5 preview, backups also include profiles, revisions and visual analyses.

Frequently asked questions

Can I transfer an entire folder?

Yes. Import is explicit and retains sources in the selected archive. Storing a file does not mean every format can be read or indexed: supported formats and limits are checked during ingestion.

Will Second Brain become a copy of me?

It can represent knowledge, declared memories and preferences through sources and a profile. It is not a complete replica of a person, does not train the model and can make mistakes.

What are the visual-analysis limits?

The 4.5 preview analyses supported single images and up to 20 PDF pages per request, within 100 MB per file and 32 megapixels per image. HEIC, animations and audio/video transcription are not included. A visual description does not establish identity or memories.

Is my data also encrypted while I work?

.tbrain backups are encrypted. This is not the same as encrypting the entire active archive at rest: disk protection, access to the Mac and key custody require appropriate configuration.
